Ultra-short pulse magnetic fields on effective magnetic hyperthermia for cancer therapy

چکیده
Alternating magnetic fields can deliver energy deeper inside the body for hyperthermia cancer therapy by using nanoparticles (MNPs). In this study, we proposed a highly effective heat generation method MNPs application of an ultra-short pulse wave. We numerically evaluated heating power with variety parameters, such as width, field amplitude, and frequency. The hysteresis curve magnetization dynamics clearly indicate larger dissipation. Hysteresis loss input increase increasing strength duty ratio there is large efficiency condition. To evaluate practical temperature increment, imaginary part susceptibility (χ″ > 30) specific (SLP 10 5 W/kg) are required. addition, intrinsic (100 nHm 2 /kg) achieved. results that contribution harmonics signals on wave significantly enhances therapy.

The aim of the paper is to show basic ideas of magnetic fluid hyperthermia treatment with regard to power losses which occur during heating with alternating magnetic field. A special attention has been paid to dielectric, hysteresis and relaxation mechanism losses and their contribution to total power losses. A numerical analysis has been done with regard to a simplified female breast phantom a...
متن کاملMagnetic Gel Composites for Hyperthermia Cancer Therapy
Hyperthermia therapy is a medical treatment based on the exposition of body tissue to slightly higher temperatures than physiological (i.e., between 41 and 46 °C) to damage and kill cancer cells or to make them more susceptible to the effects of radiation and anti-cancer drugs. Among several methods suitable for heating tumor areas, magnetic hyperthermia involves the introduction of magnetic mi...

Cancer hyperthermia using magnetic nanoparticles.
Magnetic-nanoparticle-mediated intracellular hyperthermia has the potential to achieve localized tumor heating without any side effects. The technique consists of targeting magnetic nanoparticles to tumor tissue followed by application of an external alternating magnetic field that induces heat through Néel relaxation loss of the magnetic nanoparticles. The temperature in tumor tissue is increa...
